When our greatest joy is cross-shaped

 (Fritz photography)

It is beautifully strange that a piece of magnified fencing that Fritz photographed speaks so powerfully to my heart.  Do you see what I see?

I see a cross.  My Savior is stretched out there for me.  I see myself wound tight against my loving Jesus.  The uncontainable God couldn't contain his crazy plan.  He came down from all that was lovely and perfect, and he willingly took on my human fragility.  Dressing in skin, Jesus demonstrated that the path to the greatest joy is always and forever cross-shaped.

Jesus has given me a better life than I could ever have dreamed of.   Thank you, Jesus.
